Once a new massage client has come you want to put a lot of energy into getting that client to come back. The first step is impeccable service. The next step is a fantastic experience and massage.

But once they have gone out the door, do you know what the number one problem is for people? They forget how great their massage was. They forget to take care of themselves. This is true - it just slips their mind to come again.

Solve this problem. All it takes is regular communication. And the first step to this communication should be a new massage client welcome letter/package.

After maybe a week or two you send out your new massage client welcome package. This package contains a letter that thanks them for coming, reminds them how great the benefits you provide for them are, how great your business is at providing these benefits, and tells them how much you would enjoy to have them back. This letter will also tell them about surprise benefits of being a client of yours. Your referral program benefits. Your newsletter benefits. Your holiday gift certificate programs that are exclusive for regular massage clients who come at least (x) amount of times a year.

In this package you can also include business cards with the referral system on the back to give their friends. You could also include a discount coupon to get them to come back in. Or a free upgrade to a different service.

If you have a newsletter, include the last copy.

If you have a good web site, direct them to that resource.

Basically, you are welcoming them into your care. Helping them realize how amazing a thing it is to take care of themselves. How worthwhile it is.

Your letter will be an expanded version of your U.S.P. statement.

Try to make it personal. A little note from you is great.

Once they receive this new massage client package they will be shocked at the level of service they are receiving beyond their massage. They will be very impressed with the level of care you provide.

Your return rate will increase dramatically. Your referral rate will increase many fold.

Remember that it is always the little details of how you word things that will make your letter successful or not.
